New Term Coinage: Baboop

Baboop: To encourage someone to hurry up and get to the point, after the iconic sound TiVo makes when fast-forwarding.

Usage:

Her: … and then what happened was, well, because when it was happening, the thing is –

Him: Baboop baboop baboop.

Her: Fine. I’m not telling you now.

Him: Baboop.

hah! I just used the tivo reference (a different one, tho i admit “ba” before “boop” sounds closer) in my blog post last night! It’s *so* true.. I often think of “babooping” through conversations maaany times a day.

We turned our sound off long ago, but I remember this sound and now the idea is part of our daily vocabulary. So thanks. A LOT! BaBOOP!

p.s. Someone needs to come out with a little sound maker that does this on command… that’d be right up there with TV-B-Gone.
