Don't most people use the "Hillary" tag so we don't confuse with the other Clinton who was a president? I'm a little too straight and tend to say "Senator Clinton" or "Senator Obama".

I hope a secretary or a staffer is answering the phone at 3am in the White House. I want my President resting up.

J --

Your comments are fine, thanks for posting them. But, see how this debate makes monkeys of us all? Go back and read what I wrote. I never said anything about banning guns.

I'm amused by the news coverage of lawyers trying to interpret what the founders meant with the 2nd amendment. I don't CARE what they meant. They never could have imagined the world we live in today. Ban or not, let's stop reading tea leaves and decide for ourselves.

See? No harm in that. At least, that's what I think.

I wanted to add I like your site. I'm been checking it out since 1999. I re-read what I wrote, and I apologize if I came off disrespectful in my previous post, that was not my intent. Anyway, stay cool. :)

"I think that, when the constitution was written, no one realized that someday there’d be guns that fit in a pocket and can take out a room of kids."

I liked your post, but I take major issue with this statement.

They didn't have cars that anybody could (and has) driven into people on the sidewalks. Do we ban cars? They also didn't have gasoline, a highly flammable liquid for sale to anybody and could (and has) used to make explosive devices. Do we ban gasoline?

I had friends in high school that knew how to make bombs out of kitchen products. They tested them in their backyards for fun. Now, where did they learn this? Chemistry books. So do we ban books? Do we ban chemistry?

The question we should be asking is not, "How do we ban all guns?" but, "What makes these poor kids become the killers they have become?"

It is very telling these kids that did these things always attacked people they knew did not have guns. I mean, why not attack a police station? Or a gun show?

The fact is, the overwhelming majority of people that own guns are law-abiding citizens. The only ones that benefit from banning guns are criminals and disturbed people that are going to use them anyway, regardless of the law.

Woo hoo! You go girlfriend!

I especially like the Hillary point about sexism. Nothing irritates me more than to hear people say that it's sexist, yet her campaign has used "Hillary" as the brand.
