Fray
This is the final boarding call for submissions to Fray’s premiere book, Busted! True stories of getting caught in the act. Send in your stuff today!
Need inspiration? There are some great busted stories in Fray’s new Flickr group.
You should never ask someone to tell a personal story that you wouldn’t be willing to tell yourself. So, with Fray’s current call for “Busted” stories in mind, here are some of the many times I’ve been busted:
That time mom caught me with shoplifted candy and made me go back to Vons and apologize.
That time [...]
Fray launched on September 16, 1996. It was a totally different time, online and off.
Online, everyone was quite excited about the web, but the era of the blog was still a way off. The idea that web was good at personal storytelling was still a bit weird. Offline, I was 23, single, and just [...]
What do you do when your trip to New York City just happens to coincide with the biggest heat wave since 1936? Make some photos, of course!

The Tree by yours truly
“I couldn’t wait to see them brown and dry on the sidewalks. I was that way about Christmas.”
Ho [...]

I could not be prouder of how well Fray Day 8 San Francisco went. The stories were fantastic, whether they were from a featured performer or open mic participant, the venue was beautiful, the sound was great (we may even be able to make a CD out of the recording this year), [...]
