If everybody who's ever bitched about Pac Bell DSL on their weblog reads this article and emails the PUC commissioners, we might just make some progress.

Here's the letter I sent:

I need therapy after all the hassles I've had dealing with Pac Bell as my DSL provider.

They've cut off the service for no reason, then it took months to get it back online. And, meanwhile, I couldn't even switch to a competitor because they still claimed my line thanks to crazy "provisioning restrictions."

This is insane. Pac Bell CANNOT be allowed to become a monopoly. Please, for the sake of all California customers, and the Internet industry, protect the independent ISPs!
